South Wales Shire Horse Show

About

The South Wales Shire Horse Show is an annual celebrations of the gentle giants and most magnificent of British heavy horses : The Shire Horse. You'll see them at their best in Bailey Park, Abergavenny every first Saturday in July.

You may also get the opportunity to see some other heavy horse breeds such as the Percheron, Clydesdale and Suffolk Punch in the heavy horse in hand and ridden classes.

And not forgetting the magnificent miniature horses, come and see our cheeky, yet most loved Miniature Horses in the mini ring at the show.

There's also a novelty dog show, lunchtime performances, children's amusements, trade and catering stalls, classic cars, pony rides and more.
