Rogiet Countryside Park

About

Join MonLife Countryside for this free 6.5 mile (10.5km) walk along the Gwent Levels and Severn Estuary. You'll find out about the heritage and natural history of this interesting part of Monmouthshire, passing the site of the old marshalling yards at Severn Tunnel junction, an old quarry, some woodland and an old “Windmill.”

The walk should take approx. 4 hours.

Minor slopes and a few stiles. Bring a packed lunch and a drink. Assistance dogs only. Wear stout shoes or boots and bring waterproof clothing.

The timings for each walk is only an approximate guide. The actual time may vary depending on the weather, the terrain, the number of stiles as well as the number and ability of the walkers.

Road Directions

Leave the A48 (T) old road from Chepstow to Newport in Rogiet at the sign for Severn Tunnel Junction Station. Near the entrance to the Railway Station take the road bridge over the railway line. Take the next turning on the right down into the car park for Rogiet Countryside Park (ST 462 874), Postcode NP26 3TZ
