About

Norton House is situated in the village of Whitchurch; just five minutes walk from Symonds Yat West and the River Wye. Canoe hire, boat trips on the Wye, four Nature Reserves, and the famous view point and Peregrine Nesting site at Yat Rock, are all within walking distance from the house. We are easily accessible, with a good bus service to Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, local pubs and restaurants are very close, just park your car in our car park and leave it there, while you enjoy a car free holiday.

We provide secure cycle storage for bikes, fishing tackle, and our famous dog shower is ideal not only for washing mucky dogs, but cleaning walking boots and bikes etc. The laundry is equipped with washing and drying facilities. We are very dog friendly.

Norton House is a listed building with great character. The bedrooms are spacious and each has its own individual charm. All rooms have views across to the Great Doward, changing through the seasons, with glorious Autumn colours, making October a very popular time to visit. Our award winning breakfasts and evening meals are served in the oak beamed dining hall; we use home grown, home made and local produce wherever possible.
