You are here: Explore Monmouthshire > Wye Valley > Discover Llandogo
Llandogo is a small village found in the heart of the Wye Valley, roughly three miles north of Tintern and eight miles south of Monmouth. Laying alongside the River Wye, it's a key village on the A446 Wye Valley road from Chepstow to Monmouth. The Wye Valley Walk runs along the wooded hills above the village.
Nearby landmarks include the River Wye crossing of Bigsweir Bridge, the Michelin starred Whitebrook restaurant and the stunning sight of Cleddon Falls, a thunderous waterfall said to have helped inspire Wordsworth to write "Lines Composed a few miles above Tintern".
Nowadays Llandogo is best known as the setting for the Netflix show 'Sex Education', with tracking shots, scenes and the family shop all filmed in the village.
