Access Improvement Grants

Please find details below of two grant schemes available in Monmouthshire. These grants are administered by Monmouthshire County Council and made possible by the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund.

Access Improvement Events Support Scheme

Grants of up to £5,000 are available to deliver activities and improve access at visitor related events in Monmouthshire.  

• Area: Monmouthshire County Council 
• Open to: Applicants looking to improve accessibility at visitor related events and event activities in Monmouthshire.
  • To be eligible for support under this scheme, events and activities must be primarily targeted at tourists. A tourist is defined as someone visiting the area from outside their usual environment for non-routine leisure or business purposes.
• Deadline: Applications accepted on a rolling basis until all funding is allocated.
• Funding Limit: Up to £5,000

Access Improvement Capital Grant Scheme

Grants of up to £25,000 are available to deliver access improvements at visitor related attractions and events in Monmouthshire.

• Area: Monmouthshire County Council 
• Open to: Formally constituted organisations in Monmouthshire delivering experiences to visitors at attractions and events.
  • To be eligible for support under this scheme, events must be primarily targeted at tourists. A tourist is defined as someone visiting the area from outside their usual environment for non-routine leisure or business purposes.
• Deadline: Applications accepted on a rolling basis until all funding is allocated.
• Funding Limit: Up to £25,000
