About

Dating back to the 1800’s, The Victoria Abergavenny has been run as a pub for nearly 200 years. Located on the edge of Bailey Park, near Abergavenny town centre, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons national park.

Now an independently owned free house, giving the pub a new lease of life, we have lovingly restored The Victoria over the course of 18 months, reopening the doors in August 2023. Tastefully decorated inside and out, we offer a welcoming place for families, foodies and people of all ages.

As you enter The Victoria, you will be greeted by our friendly front of house team, cosy up by the fire in our bar lounge on a crisp winter’s day, enjoy the views of the magnificent Bailey park on finer days in our gardens, or enjoy a meal with friends and family in our restaurant.
Well behaved four legged friends are welcome in our bar lounge and gardens.

Food:

Using only the best suppliers from the local area, local Welsh meat, and fresh farm produce, we pride ourselves on a traditional meet’s modern menu, thoughtfully created by our Head chef. All our food is freshly prepared to order, in house, by our team of experienced chefs. Offering a range, light bites, mains and snacks including a children’s menu. Catering for vegan, vegetarian and dietary requirements.

Drinks:

As an independent business we’ve been able to choose a wide selection of premium larger and cider on draught.

From New Zealand to South Africa, Europe to USA and South America we have a range of 18 white, rose, red and sparkling wines to suit all palates, including champagne for those special occasions. Our staff have been trained to offer food pairing recommendations, along with by the glass and bottle suggestions. Supplying only the best quality of wines from local wholesalers, you won’t find any of our wines on the high street.
Gin and tonic, or Whiskey on ice, we offer a variety of spirits that compliment our menu, or just pop in for a tipple.

We’ve teamed up with Triple Co Roast to provide our customers with high quality ethical Colombian coffee. The goal of this coffee, from Nariño, Colombia is to achieve stable and sustainable prices for community farms through improved quality control, shared knowledge, and a connection to the speciality coffee market. Brewed on our Rocket Boxer 2 espresso machine, we offer a range of coffees all day, every day.

If coffee is not for you, we offer a range of exceptional Twining’s tea in a pot.

Alongside our selection of draught lagers and ciders, wines, teas and coffees we offer a range of alternative drinks. We have a variety of fruit juice, soft drinks, low alcohol and gluten free options on offer, check out our menu for a full list of drink offerings.

Cash and card accepted.
