About

Welcome to the Buckholt Wood Community Archaeology Dig! An event led by Buckholt Bryngaer with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Join us for five days of investigating the Iron Age Hill Fort and an 18th century ruined cottage. No experience necessary, everyone is welcome.

Help us undercover new information about the Iron Age and the origins of the Buckholt. We will be exploring how, why and who built the fort and what happened afterwards. With support from Churchill Archaeology, the National Museum of Wales and Cadw, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
