CANCELLED - Unfortunately this walk has been cancelled due to inclement weather

Join Monmouthshire Countryside for a free guided walk. This 4.5 mile (7.5km) route follows open fields along the River Trothy then leaves the valley floor and follows fields and lanes in a loop towards Dingestow Court before following a tributary of the Trothy back to the start. 

There are lots of stiles on this walk and 180 metres of climb. Wear stout shoes or boots and bring waterproof clothing. Bring a packed lunch and a drink. Not suitable for dogs, including assistance dogs. There is no charge for this activity. 

How to get to the start

Meet at Dingestow Village Hall car park (SO 458 101) on the opposite side of the road from the Village Hall in the middle of Dingestow. Postcode NP25 4BE. The timings for each walk is only an approximate guide. The actual time may vary depending on the weather, the terrain, the number of stiles as well as the number and ability of the walkers.

Booking is essential. Anyone not on the list will not be able to join the walk. 

Cancellation. Please let us know as soon as possible if you have to cancel so that we can offer the places to other walkers. MonLife Countryside Access Team reserve the right to cancel the walk due to adverse weather, illness of leaders or any other unforeseen reason.
