A free 8.4 mile (14 km) walk from Llanfoist up onto the Blorenge via Hill’s Tramway and the old Iron works at Garn Ddyrys, then on past an old coal mine and a WW2 resistance site and finally back down via the picturesque "Punchbowl".

Bring suitable clothing and footwear, your own packed lunch and a drink. Assistance dogs only please. There is no charge for this activity. 2 steep slopes and a few stiles.

Meet at Abergavenny Garden Centre Car Park. Pass through Llanfoist Village on the B4246 towards Govilon. Just before you leave the village, turn right along a tarmac lane, signposted “Village Hall.” Continue along the lane passed the Village Hall on your right. Park in the large car park on the left belonging to Abergavenny Garden Centre. OS grid reference- SO 286 135. Postcode- NP7 9LF. what3words tripling.treetop.inflamed

The timings for each walk is only an approximate guide. The actual time may vary depending on the weather, the terrain, the number of stiles as well as the number and ability of the walkers.

Please email marklangley@monmouthshire.gov.uk if you find out on the day of the walk that you cannot make it.

Booking is essential. Anyone not on the list will not be able to join the walk. 

Cancellation. Please let us know as soon as possible if you have to cancel so that we can offer the places to other walkers. MonLife Countryside Access Team reserve the right to cancel the walk due to adverse weather, illness of leaders or any other unforeseen reason. 

Please supply the names, email addresses and telephone numbers of participants so that contact can be made in case of cancellation.
