A delightful 8 mile (12.75km) walk using quiet lanes, minor roads and footpaths leading to Gelli Llywd Farm and White Castle. Returning via Pantycolyn Bridge, Manor Farm and Crossways where beautiful, open countryside can be enjoyed. One steep slope and lots of stiles. Bring a packed lunch and a drink. Wear stout shoes or boots and bring waterproof clothing. Assistance dogs only please. There is no charge for this activity.
Walk start : Llandewi Skirrid Church (Village) Hall
Follow the B4521 between Abergavenny and Skenfrith. Coming from Abergavenny, pass the Walnut Tree Inn on your left near the village of Bryn y Gwenin. Look out for a green building on your left after 600 metres at a small road junction. This is Llanddewi Skirrid Church (Village) Hall. Take the turning to your left and park in the car park (SO 343 168). Postcode NP7 8AW.

Terms and conditions
Booking is essential. Anyone not on the list will not be able to join the walk.
Cancellation
Please let us know as soon as possible if you have to cancel so that we can offer the places to other walkers. MonLife Countryside Access Team reserve the right to cancel the walk due to adverse weather, illness of leaders or changes to Covid 19 restrictions or any other unforeseen reason.
Please supply the names, email addresses and telephone numbers of participants so that contact can be made in case of cancellation.
Covid 19
Participants must not attend if suffering from symptoms or under instructions to isolate. Walkers will have to adhere to any Government restrictions that apply at the time of the walk. Do not share food or drink with anyone outside of your household. Please bring your own hand sanitiser to use before eating or at any other appropriate time during the walk. Be sensitive to social distancing, particularly at the start of the walk and during stops along the way, including lunch breaks or snack breaks. In the event of a positive Covid 19 test within 7 days after participating in a walk notify countryside@monmouthshire.gov.uk as soon as possible.
