Tuesday 16 January – An introduction to Medieval Herbs

Learn all about the world of medieval herbs with historian Val Williams. Make oil infusions, teas and protective herb posies.

Tuesday 23 January – Spinning through the Ages

Discover the important history of the mighty spindle through the ages, then spin a yarn yourself with a drop spindle.

Tuesday 30 January – Songs from the Castle, 1432 to 1646

Join Minstrel Tom for a musical sing-song, and learn all abut musical instruments of the era and some great songs.

Morning and afternoon sessions available, 9.30am-12pm and 1pm-3.30pm.

A40 south-west from Monmouth & at the junction with the A449, take the A40 towards Abergavenny. Raglan Castle is signed at the next roundabout (go right around the roundabout and then first left). Bike: Regional Route No.30 (0.6 mile/1km). Accessible by Public Transport: Abergavenny station is 9 miles away.

Public Transport Directions

Bus: 7 miles (11km) Monmouth, route No 60, Newport-Monmouth. 2-hourly daily.
