This year is the 25th Anniversary of the Abergavenny Food Festival, the 'Glastonbury of Food Festivals' as the Observer once dubbed it. The official programme has just been announced, so we've taken a look and highlighted some of the specially ticketed events we're most looking forward to (alongside of course over 160 exhibitors, six venues across the town, numerous tastings, live entertainment and lots more as part of your stroller ticket).
Simon King - Freshly Foraged (16th September - 10.30am - 11.30am)
Simon King, head chef / owner of the local 1861 Restaurant with Rooms (which recently received two AA rosettes for culinary excellence), shows just what can be made from locally foraged goods. He'll utilise the day's finds to create some delicious dishes to taste, paired with wine from White Castle Vineyard.

Party at the Castle (16th September, 7.15pm - 11pm)
No list of the best events to attend would be complete without arguably the highlight of the weekend, the Party at the Castle. Four bands to enjoy, delicious food and a fireworks finale, all within the stunning grounds of Abergavenny Castle.
