Congratulations to Caldicot Castle and Country Park, Castle Meadows in Abergavenny, the Old Station Tintern and the Monmouthshire & Becon Canal on achieving the coveted Keep Wales Tidy Green Flag awards for 2023.
A Green Flag award recognises places that offer excellent facilities whilst demonstrating an ongoing commitment to delivering great quality green spaces, so it's a fantastic achievement for these sites and their staff.
There were also twelve sites that received 'Community Awards' :
In the south near Caldicot we have Caldicot Community Garden, Rogiet Wildlife Friendly Village, Crick Woodland and Crick Meadow and The Cornfield in Portskewett.
In Chepstow we have Garden City Sensory Garden.
At Usk there's the Incredible Edible Usk Garden at Monmouthshire County Council's County Hall, plus Goytre Community Garden nearby.
Then up in and near Abergavenny there are Mardy Park & Bailey Park, Curcorney Allotments and Laurie Jones Community Orchard.
Congratulations to them all!
