For the fourth year in a row White Castle Vineyard has won an award at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards. They were the only Welsh vineyard to win an award (cementing Monmouthshire's place as the Food Capital of Wales) and it is only the second time a Welsh vineyard has won four years in a row (following Monmouth's Ancre Hill in 2010 - 2013).
This year they added another Bronze award to the Bronze they won in 2023, the Silver they won in 2022 and the Gold in 2021. Congratulations to Robb and Nicola at White Castle! This year's Bronze Award is for White Castle Vineyard's Pinot Noir Précoce Reserve 2022, a light ruby red wine with tasting notes of "Dark fruit and leafy, stalky aromas, that continue through on the palate, with some hints of mint". If you want to try it for yourself, click here to buy a bottle of their award winning wine.
Now in its 21st year, the Decanter Awards are the world's biggest wine competition, evaluating over 18,000 wines from 57 countries. So to win any award at all is a huge honour, and to do it three times in a row is a fantastic testament to the quality of their wine.
The vineyard is open for tours and tastings from Friday - Sunday every week.
