About

The 65 bus runs from Chepstow to Monmouth along the picturesque Wye Valley high road through the villages of Itton, Devauden, Llanishen, Trellech, The Narth, Penallt and Lydart.  The service, which is operated by Monmouthshire County Council, runs at least four times a day in each direction Monday to Saturday (for a copy of the timetable click here).  The usual bus is fully accessible for the less able, those with pushchairs and those with shopping trolleys.  There is also plenty of luggage space.  The bus is popular with visitors – the route offers stunning views across to the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons.  And there are plenty of opportunities for linear walks – catching the bus in one direction and walking back. And dogs can travel on the bus for FREE!
