Ancient Hill Fort and fantastic views near Llandenny
11.00am (Approx. 3 hours)

A 5 mile (8 km) circular walk through undulating countryside and country lanes passing an ancient hill fort starting near the village of Llandenny. One steep slope and 10 stiles. Bring a packed lunch and a drink. Assistance dogs only. Wear stout shoes or boots and bring waterproof clothing. There is no charge for this activity. 

There is ample car parking space along the wide grass verges on both sides of the road very close to the starting point of this walk. The walk starts and ends at the footbridge at Grid Ref. SO 420041

Booking is essential. Anyone not on the list will not be able to join the walk. 

Cancellation.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you have to cancel so that we can offer the places to other walkers. MonLife Countryside Access Team reserve the right to cancel the walk due to adverse weather, illness of leaders or changes to Covid 19 restrictions or any other unforeseen reason. 

Please supply the names, email addresses and telephone numbers of participants so that contact can be made in case of cancellation. 

Covid 19

Participants must not attend if suffering from symptoms or under instructions to isolate. Walkers will have to adhere to any Government restrictions that apply at the time of the walk. Do not share food or drink with anyone outside of your household. Please bring your own hand sanitiser to use before eating or at any other appropriate time during the walk. Be sensitive to social distancing, particularly at the start of the walk and during stops along the way, including lunch breaks or snack breaks. In the event of a positive Covid 19 test within 7 days after participating in a walk notify countryside@monmouthshire.gov.uk as soon as possible.
