Wonderful self-catering holiday homes in the idyllic peaceful surroundings of the wooded hillsides of the Wye Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty, on the western border of the beautiful Forest of Dean. The Coach House Cottages are situated between the Wye Gorge, the jewel in the area's crown and the St. Briavels plateau and is the perfect place for reunions, family gatherings and holidays. Walkers and cyclists are welcome.

Please note that groups up to 12 can be accommodated in The Coachman's and The Dovecote Cottage combined, the table in the Dovecote Cottage can be extended to seat up to 12 persons and there is ample cutlery.
The Coachman’s can be hired for as little as £300 for a 3 night stay and the Dovecote for as little as £540 for a 3 night stay.
The Coachman’s Cottage (sleeps five) is attached to The Coach House and forms one side of a sunny courtyard.
The Coachman's Cottage has a pine panelled sitting room and dining kitchen. At the foot of the stairs there is a cloak room with basin and wc. Going up the stairs you enter a very spacious bedroom with three single beds and then proceeding through the bathroom to the double bedroom. From the sitting room a glazed door opens on to the south facing pretty garden, with picnic table. There is an open fire in the sitting room for those cosy log fires in the winter months.
There is parking for up to 2 vehicles.
The Dovecote Cottage (sleeps up to 9) is attached to The Coach House and forms one side of a sunny courtyard.
The Dovecote cottage was originally part of an old stone water mill dating back to 1350. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a shower) and a further WC. At first floor level there is 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 bedroom with 3 single beds, 1 Childs’ bedroom with 2 x 2’6” bunk beds, a bathroom and further WC. There is a glazed door from the landing which leads out to the enclosed, private garden. Up the staircase at second floor level there is a spacious sitting/dining room , a well-equipped kitchen with microwave oven and fridge/freezer, 1 bedroom with a double bed and the second bathroom. There is a washing machine in the under stairs cupboard.
Please note there is a sofa bed in the sitting room which can be used to sleeps 2 adults. However the maximum occupancy of the cottage is 9 adults in total.
There is parking for up to 3 vehicles.
Bookings for weekly lets are Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday. Weekend breaks are 3 nights arriving Friday after 3 pm and vacating before 10 am on Monday and Weekday breaks are 4 nights, arriving Monday after 3 pm and vacating before 10 am on Friday.

Road Directions
The Coach House Cottages are located between Chepstow and Monmouth just off the A466 in the Wye Valley, the border between England and Wales about 9 miles north of the old Severn Bridge. It is in a hamlet called Mork and the nearest village is St. Briavels. It is easily accessible by car being approximately 1.5 hours from Birmingham, 2.5 hours from London, 45mins from Bristol and Cardiff.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• There is a gravelled carpark which can accommodate up to 6 cars for The Coach House. There is a parking space in the paved courtyard adjacent to the main door if required by a guest with a disability. From here there is one shallow step into the porch and one down to the inner entrance hall which is on a level with the kitchen/dining room and the main sitting room and adjacent shower and wc. There is rear access to a vehicle parked in the courtyard. There is a dog bowl and room for a dog basket in the porch.
Main Entrance & Reception
• In addition to the main door and porch off the courtyard there are 4 more doors into The Coach House from outside. However the main entrance as described above is the most accessible. There is a chair in the porch.
Public Areas - General (Internal)
• The doors generally to the ground floor rooms are 3ft. doors. The kitchen/dining room and main sitting room and ground floor wc shower room are on a level. There is one step up to the double bedroom which is off the kitchen/dining room. The floor in the kitchen is original flagstones which have an uneven nature. All other rooms apart from the conservatory which has a vinyl finish are carpeted. There is a step down to the single ground floor bedroom and side door to the garden. The conservatory has two sets of double glass doors one of which has a paved ramp from the gravelled terrace. All doors are lockable and their keys are kept in a position near to each. Well behaved dogs are allowed by arrangement and should be fed outside, in the porch or the conservatory.
Public Areas - WC
• Although there are 2 downstairs wc/shower rooms neither has the dimensions to be suitable for a wheelchair user.
Laundry
• There is a utility room off the courtyard which has an automatic washing machine and clothes lines for use by guests.
Outdoor Facilities
• The Coach House is built on a sloping site and although the main lawn is relatively flat it is approached by a grassed slope from the gravelled terrace adjacent to the kitchen door which has one step. There are garden chairs and benches.
Bedrooms
• Although there are 2 ground floor bedrooms, one double with ensuite shower room and one single with adjacent shower room, neither is suitable for a wheelchair user. There is one step up to the double and 2 steps down to the single. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms , one very large one with a double and 2 single beds and ensuite bathroom, one spacious double with ensuite bathroom and two twins which share a shower room.
Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [Ensuite or Shared]
• The shower rooms have shower trays with thermostatic mixer fittings. The bathrooms have standard baths with normal taps and a shower fitting.
Grounds and Gardens
• The gardens are mature and landscaped and bounded by a stream which is unguarded. There are steep areas with ramps and steps. It is not a garden suitable for visually impaired or mobility impaired guests.
