Wonderful self-catering holiday homes in the idyllic peaceful surroundings of the wooded hillsides of the Wye Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty, on the western border of the beautiful Forest of Dean. The Coach House Cottages are situated between the Wye Gorge, the jewel in the area's crown and the St. Briavels plateau and is the perfect place for reunions, family gatherings and holidays. Walkers and cyclists are welcome.

Please note that groups up to 12 can be accommodated in The Coachman's and The Dovecote Cottage combined, the table in the Dovecote Cottage can be extended to seat up to 12 persons and there is ample cutlery.

The Coachman’s can be hired for as little as £300 for a 3 night stay and the Dovecote for as little as £540 for a 3 night stay.

The Coachman’s Cottage (sleeps five) is attached to The Coach House and forms one side of a sunny courtyard.
The Coachman's Cottage has a pine panelled sitting room and dining kitchen. At the foot of the stairs there is a cloak room with basin and wc. Going up the stairs you enter a very spacious bedroom with three single beds and then proceeding through the bathroom to the double bedroom. From the sitting room a glazed door opens on to the south facing pretty garden, with picnic table. There is an open fire in the sitting room for those cosy log fires in the winter months.
There is parking for up to 2 vehicles.

The Dovecote Cottage (sleeps up to 9) is attached to The Coach House and forms one side of a sunny courtyard.
The Dovecote cottage was originally part of an old stone water mill dating back to 1350. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a shower) and a further WC. At first floor level there is 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 bedroom with 3 single beds, 1 Childs’ bedroom with 2 x 2’6” bunk beds, a bathroom and further WC. There is a glazed door from the landing which leads out to the enclosed, private garden. Up the staircase at second floor level there is a spacious sitting/dining room , a well-equipped kitchen with microwave oven and fridge/freezer, 1 bedroom with a double bed and the second bathroom. There is a washing machine in the under stairs cupboard.
Please note there is a sofa bed in the sitting room which can be used to sleeps 2 adults. However the maximum occupancy of the cottage is 9 adults in total.
There is parking for up to 3 vehicles.

Bookings for weekly lets are Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday. Weekend breaks are 3 nights arriving Friday after 3 pm and vacating before 10 am on Monday and Weekday breaks are 4 nights, arriving Monday after 3 pm and vacating before 10 am on Friday.

Road Directions

The Coach House Cottages are located between Chepstow and Monmouth just off the A466 in the Wye Valley, the border between England and Wales about 9 miles north of the old Severn Bridge. It is in a hamlet called Mork and the nearest village is St. Briavels. It is easily accessible by car being approximately 1.5 hours from Birmingham, 2.5 hours from London, 45mins from Bristol and Cardiff.
