Today is the start of Wales Tourism Week 2024, an annual opportunity to celebrate our tourism businesses in Wales. So all week we'll be celebrating events, accommodation, attractions and things to do across Monmouthshire.

Today we'll be looking at some of the events coming up over the next few weeks.

On August 10th MonLife are hosting a day of fun for families with members who have physical, neurodivergent and sensory disabilities. There'll be archery, accessible biking, wheelchair basketball and much, much more.

Farm to Fragrance Workshop - 21st July

We love when Monmouthshire businesses work together, and Wales Perfumery & Parc Grace Dieu Lavender Farm have done just that for an exciting fragrance workshop experience. Have a tour of the lavender fields, pick your own lavender and then create your own personalised fragrance.

Nature and Wildlife at Buckholt Wood

Straddling the England / Wales border above Monmouth, Buckholt Wood has 60 hectares to explore, including an ancient Iron Age hillfort and fantastic views over the Monnow Valley. They've recently received National Lottery Heritage Funding, meaning they can expand their events programme with archaeological digs, nature trails and evening bat walks.

Every year the talented next generation of classical musicians get together with seasoned artists and tutors at Treowen Manor for a week of masterclasses and rehearsals, before performing in three events across the Wye Valley.

It's a great chance to hear classical performances in beautiful settings, and to support these talented young musicians.
