About

Steeped in legend, Gray Hill rises high above Wentwood, the largest area of ancient forest in Wales. It is said to have been a site of particular druidic importance, with the stone circle at the top of the hill possibly older than Stonehenge.

Offering fantastic views over Wentwood and the Severn Estuary, the climb to Gray Hill is well worth the effort.

You can find out more about the folklore of Gray Hill on this Guardian Travel article.
