The historic Coral Welsh Grand National is the biggest day in Chepstow Racecourse’s calendar and is the pride of Welsh racing. This fixture attracts visitors in their thousands and some of the finest long-distance chasers to the premier racecourse in Wales.

The roll of honour of this great race carries some very special names such as Native River, Potter's Corner and last year's winner, Nassalam!

The Coral Welsh Grand National at Chepstow is always a special occasion. The excitement of the prestigious race combined with a patriotic Welsh crowd and lingering Christmas cheer ensures the perfect ingredients for a fantastic day out with friends and family.

🌧️ Wet Weather Guarantee

Every ticket comes with a ‘Wet Weather Guarantee!’ Yep, you read that right, if a drop of rain drops at any point from gates opening to the last horse crossing the finishing line, every ticket holder can claim a FREE Grandstand ticket to selected fixtures 2025*.

Featuring the best of the best. This fixture is one of the 170 Premier Racedays across British horseracing that showcase the best quality of racing in the sport. Expect to see high-quality racing!

 🚌 Travel 

Shuttle Bus The racecourse shuttle bus operates from Chepstow Train Station to the Racecourse via the town's bus station. The service also operates from Newport Train Station direct to the Racecourse.
