Come and make your own lantern on Sunday 04 December 2022 at Catbrook Memorial Hall (and use it for Carol singing in Catbrook and Broadstone on December 11th).
What time is the event?
Start time 11am, doors open 10.45. Ends 1.30 approx.
What does it cost?
Nothing! This is a free community event!
Who can attend ?
We can accept up to 30 people on this workshop. One “person” could be an adult/responsible teen and a child
What do I need to bring?
One empty 2 litre clear coloured plastic drink bottle with labels removed per person
Sharp scissors capable of cutting the bottle and smaller scissors capable of cutting neat shapes from tissue paper. ( or craft knife,ruler and chopping board for cutting the bottle)
Your own ideas! See the images of specimens we have made and dream up something pretty!
You will need a garden cane/stick to use the lantern but no need to bring it to the workshop.
We will have tea/coffee/squash biscuits at nominal charge so please bring coins.
Other materials are provided
Clothing
Please dress in a practical way. The (washable) glue we use might be a bit messy.
Mask are not required but you are welcome to use one if you wish..
