About

Experience RELICS at Tintern Abbey, a multifaceted contemporary art project delivered by the visual artist Matt Wright.

From high-resolution images, the artist has created a number of spherical photographic sculptures that are subsequently installed back at their exact point of capture within the environments they document.

These reinstallations create a unique symbiotic disharmony between the recorded and the real, challenging the viewer’s visual perception, and in doing so ultimately offer an unexpected perspective to reflect upon.

Throughout July and August eight photospherical sculptures will appear at a select number of Cadw sites. The spheres will also appear at Raglan Castle on the 27th - 28th July.

Visitors will see images of different views from the site they are visiting on the huge spheres to add new perspectives and enhance their experience.
